Ciel & Terre, the floating solar pioneer, releases today its new identity and logo full of audacity, dynamism and precision. A graphical turning point through modernizing the logo and working on the colors as part of the growth of its activities.
Since 2006, the French company, originally specialized in developing rooftop solar systems, has evolved. In 2010, the first major change took shape with the ambitious idea to make solar panels float. In 2011, the floating solar concept was born thanks to Hydrelio, the first industrialized floating system allowing the creation of huge floating photovoltaic plants.
Ciel & Terre’s growth: from start-up to international floating solar group
In 16 years of existence, the French company has grown up. With a network of subsidiaries located in 8 countries and more than 20 local partners (agents & distributors), Ciel & Terre has initiated more than 250 floating photovoltaic projects in 30 countries. By 2025, the company will have installed about 1.2 GWp of its technology.
From a 6-employee structure, the company now counts more than 200 collaborators worldwide. Ciel & Terrians are passionate, precise, audacious women and men working on innovative, long-lasting and reliable solutions.
Hydrelio solution evolved as well. Originally made up of one product, the range now includes several systems and accessories. They are all developed to better answer the environmental constraints of each site. We have also extended our slate of services across the full project process (engineering, anchoring, installation, maintenance). From the development of its solutions to the construction of its own testing ponds and laboratories, Ciel & Terre invested to create bankable, reliable and long-lasting solutions.

For all these reasons, the company decided to assert its identity and to modernize it. This change of identity is in line with our ambitions, while remaining in line to our origins. The strength of Ciel & Terre lies in the combination of the expertise earned through the years and its forward-looking pioneer spirit.
An identity even more aligned with the synergy of the sky and the earth
As the emblematic symbols of Ciel & Terre, the two arches of the logo have been preserved and reasserted. Amplified and thickened, they represent a meeting point, the synergy between solar energy and the surface of the earth. They are the foundation of the company, originally on rooftops, now on waters.
The colors have been modified directly from the core activity of Ciel & Terre: lakes and ponds. Blue tones have been extracted from the picture of a floating solar project. At the end, it reflects the important attachment of Ciel & Terre to its environment: nature is at the center of its activities.
Then, letters were thickened and aligned to create harmony but also to express the absolute rigor of the company’s position on the floating solar market. In addition, the letters of the word « Terre » are linked with each other, embodying the solidity of the company and its teams.
