Your Responsibilites

As Development Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and improvement of our innovative products from the concept/idea stage through to industrialized technology for floating or anchoring solar solution components.

 

Your role & missions

  • Participate in the design and modeling of new products
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure product quality and reliability
  • Carry out tests and analyses to validate product performance
  • Contribute to the optimization of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Ensure product compliance with current standards and regulations

Your Tasks

  • Define technical solutions.
  • Carry out technical feasibility – performance forecasting, risk analysis, industrial feasibility and construction.
  • Define and monitor the validation plan (tests), including requests for new tests.
  • Manage prototype manufacturing.
  • Prepare design reviews and milestone reviews. Validate packages for milestones.
  • Regularly update and monitor project schedule and budget.
  • Lead the project team.
  • Refer to R&D Manager or R&D Director for decision-making.
  • Capitalize on lessons learned and draft design guides.
  • Close projects with lessons learned and project summary.
  • Participate in the company’s Intellectual Property department (patentability review, patent drafting review).

Your Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering or engineering diploma (mechanical, materials science, general engineering, naval architecture…).

Minimum 5 years’ prior professional experience in technical product development, ideally in a SME.

Previous professional experience in R&D/design, preferably for high-volume products.

  • CAD Solidworks, mechanical simulation, material transformation processes.
  • A plus if CFD Simulation, Hydrodynamic Simulation, polymer processing and characteristics, metal parts manufacturing, testing and validation.
